Visitors to UNC Charlotte’s Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts are greeted with a new mural that “brings color, rhythm and a celebration of performance” to the building, according to officials with the College of Arts + Architecture.

More than 35 illustrations depicting wounded U.S. soldiers in various stages of recovery will be exhibited Thursday, May 17, through Saturday, June 23, in the Student Union Art Gallery. 

The display, “The Joe Bonham Project,” represents the efforts of wartime illustrators to document the struggles of U.S. service personnel undergoing rehabilitation after traumatic frontline injury.

May is Internal Audit Awareness Month, and it is opportunity to remind the campus community about the role of the profession.

“As fellow University employees, we define success by helping others do their job more effectively and efficiently,” said Tom York, director of internal audit.

The Office of Disability Services has selected the 2011-12 recipients for its Outstanding Faculty and Staff Award.

This year’s winners were Julie Burt (Office of the Registrar), Dale Cusumano (Department of Special Education and Child Development), Topher Gee (Biology Department), Cindy Jones (Division for University Advancement), Anne Pierce (History Department)  and Wei Zhao (Sociology Department).
