UNC Charlotte’s spring commencement is Saturday, May 12, in Halton Arena, located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Faculty and staff are requested to encourage students graduating in May to apply to be a student commencement speaker or bell ringer. One speaker and bell ringer will be selected for each ceremony.

Prospective speakers should represent the University well and should possess good speaking skills, character and school spirit. Bell ringer is an honorable tradition that recognizes two outstanding student leaders who have demonstrated exemplary 49er spirit. All applicants must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and be in good disciplinary standing.
